Prior to joining Group4 in 2004, Dan spent ten years co-founding two VC-backed companies that were acquired in the photonics industries. He is an expert in photonics, and materials science. He earned an undergraduate degree in physics from Oberlin, a doctorate in applied physics (photonics) from Stanford, and a post-doctoral appointment at
Berkeley.
