John C. Joe, MD, MPH has been an academic physician, healthcare executive, and serial medtech entrepreneur for the past two decades. He co-founded Vigor Medical Systems and became the CEO of Vigor in 2018, raising all of its seed capital.
He previously founded and led two digital health companies, one which produced the first cloud‐based hospital
electronic health record system to receive federal certification in the USA (CCHIT 2007) and another which produced one of the first internet-based mobile patient engagement and management systems in the US. The former was acquired by a Boston private equity firm and the latter acquired by Surescripts with the core technology now used by more than 200,000 physicians of all specialties across the US.
