Dan Blum is an internationally-recognized expert in security, privacy, cloud computing and identity management. At Respect Network, he focuses on security and privacy architecture, business development and consulting. Formerly, he was a Golden Quill award-winning VP and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner and one of the founding partners of Burton
Group. He also won awards at Gartner for his research into cloud security. In his VP, Research Director role he wrote, co-authored or edited hundreds of research reports and led development of detailed Reference Architectures for Identity and Privacy, and for Security and Risk Management. In a VP, Principal Consultant role, he led technical teams using the Reference Architectures to help large organizations create long term, transformational IT security strategies and to perform security assessments. Recently honored as a Privacy By Design Ambassador, he's also authored 2 books, written for numerous publications and participated in standards groups such as OASIS, Cloud Security Alliance, Kantara Initiative and others.
