Mr. David (Bill) Getsie joined LogiLube in May 2014 as Chief Financial Officer. He has over 45 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership positions. He has worked in both $3+ billion business units and startup environments.
After starting his career as a financial analyst at IBM’s semiconductor manufacturing facility in Burlington,
Vermont, Bill progressed thru several mid-level and executive management positions in both domestic and international locations. His career led him to live and work in Tokyo, Japan, where he led financial operations as controller for the $3.4 billion personal computer business unit, which was operating in eight Asia Pacific regions. Bill guided a multinational team of more than sixty financial staff, while managing all aspects of financial. He also facilitated the opening of PC assembly plants in Singapore and Shenzhen, China. Upon returning to the U.S.A. in 1998, he became the director of finance for IBM’s $1.6 billion Printing Systems Division, ultimately facilitating the sale of the business unit by providing strategic profit and operational efficiency projections. With Bill’s multiple successes at IBM, he was recruited to lead financial operations for WildCharge, a startup technology firm in Boulder, Colorado. As controller and interim CFO, he ensured regulatory compliance by implementing, monitoring and maintaining the entire corporate accounting and compliance processes within the startup. He also enabled operations by assisting in raising of $21M in funding and served as point of contact for creditors and investors.
Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s Degree in Management Science from the State University of New York.
