Dr. Doerr currently serves as a Partner at Essex Woodland Health Ventures. From 1995 to 2000, she worked predominantly as a solo, private practice pediatric infectious disease specialist and hospital epidemiologist, in San Antonio, Texas.
During her tenure she was instrumental in independently developing an Infection Control Department and
served as Chief of Epidemiology at Methodist Children’s Hospital, the majority market share pediatric hospital in central Texas.
Dr. Doerr holds a B.S. and M.D. from the University of Nebraska. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, with a subsequent fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.
