Chris is Emeritus Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School where he has taught courses in global strategy, organisation and management and holds the Thomas D. Casserly Chair. His interests have focused on the strategic and organisational challenges confronting managers in multinational corporations and on the organisational
and managerial impact of change.
Before joining the faculty of Harvard Business School Chris was a marketing manager with Alcoa in Australia, a management consultant in McKinsey's London office, and general manager at Baxter Laboratories' subsidiary company in France. He is also an economics graduate of the University of Queensland. Chris is currently a director of Flowserve (NYSE:FLS), a global supplier of equipment to the process industries.
Chris' publications include eight books, many industry case studies and numerous articles on management. He has been elected as a Fellow of both the Academy of Management and the Academy of International Business.
