Charlie Wood started started his career as a software engineer and gradually moved into more customer-facing roles, first as a Systems Engineer (Sales Engineer), and later as an Account Executive.
The exposure to both technical and customer considerations later led him to product management, but never lost interest in software development, and later returned, developing online services to extend the functionality of SaaS applications, first Salesforce.com and later Google Apps.
He co-founded Spanning Sync, Inc., which became Spanning Cloud Apps in 2010. Before founding Spanning, he was the VP of Enterprise Solutions at NewsGator Technologies.
