For the past dozen years Mr. Messimer has been in the employ of Landmark Realty Analysts as a commercial appraiser reporting to the President of the corporation, Dr. Richard Van Steenkiste. As an appraiser Mr. Messimer specialized in the appraisal of hospitality properties and assisted living properties as well as specialty properties and a smaller
amount of upscale and luxury residential land, primarily in the Tehama and Monterra subdivisions in Monterey County. Before becoming an appraiser, Mr. Messimer worked briefly in the real estate industry as a Notary Public primarily conducting loan agreement signings. For the four years spanning 1997 through 2001 Mr. Messimer was Vice President of Operations for Divar Corporation, where he was in charge of the day-to-day operation of a 52-man precision machine shop reporting directly to the President, Mr. Ray Brady. Prior to working at Divar, Mr. Messimer owned and operated a landscape development company in Santa Cruz County for approximately 12 years employing up to 25 crew members. Mr. Messimer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Jose State University and attended Golden Gate University where he attended law school.
