Celso Guedes de Carvalho, with a degree in Marketing Management, has a professional career spanning more than 20 years, having headed countless projects in a variety of sectors, setting and surpassing ambitious objectives, optimising resources and creating value for stakeholders - of note the results obtained in supporting the creation and
management of dozens of companies, an activity carried out whilst a consultant, trainer, mentor and coordinator of a number of projects. Celso has been a Product Manager, has headed up a communications agency, has coordinated the institutional relations and internal marketing of an institution of higher education, the institutional relations and fundraising activities of a Foundation and, as a consultant specialising in Marketing, contributed to the realisation of the mission of a number of public and private organisations. As head of the Business Incubator of the University of Aveiro (IEUA), Celso stimulated a host of initiatives whose impact was internationally recognised, standing out for having been awarded second place in the overall classification of the worldwide competition ‘Best Science Based Incubator’ and the invitation received from the US Government to be a part of an international program for immersion into the North American culture and entrepreneurship ecosystems. Celso views innovation as a prerequisite for the creation of value, sustainability as a guiding principle for the activities he undertakes, the adoption of participative, decentralised and meritocratic leadership models essential to leverage the talent and competencies of the teams he manages.
