Cameron (Cam) Dales was appointed chief operating officer in 2018. He served as vice president of operations since joining Enovix in 2009 and added business development in 2011. He is responsible for Enovix 3D silicon lithium-ion battery operations—specifically a strategy for low-cost high-volume manufacturing, business development—including
strategic technology partners and investors, and marketing.
Before joining Enovix, Cam was vice president and general manager of Symyx Technologies (NASDAQ: SMMX)—divested as privately held Freeslate Technologies in 2010 and acquired by Unchained Labs in 2016—an innovator in high-throughput, microscale robotic instruments for the discovery and processing of advanced materials. He secured and managed long-term partnerships with leading global energy (ExxonMobil), chemical (Dow), and consumer products (P&G) corporations, and grew a new robotic systems business unit from conception to $40M annual revenue with 20% operating profit in 3 years. He started his career at Lockheed Space Systems, where he designed and spaceflight qualified several electromechanical systems that are still operating in low earth orbit today.
