Bryan McEire, Co-founder & Technology Advisor
Born in Costa Rica, Bryan has lived in Spain, Belgium and Portugal. He is an IT engineer who undertook his studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the Université Libre in Brussels.
Bryan has many years of experience in Business Intelligence, programming, infrastructure and services
management, having held this role in companies such as Mapfre where he was exposed to the development of large-scale technological solutions.
From an early age he showed a great passion for technology, entrepreneurship and change. As a teenager he co-founded an association to raise awareness and increase the use of Open Source Software in northern Spain.
At 26 years old, he co-founded a company whose mission was to facilitate workforce mobility globally and held the role of CTO with this company.
Amongst his various years of experience and diverse projects, he relocated to Lisbon for a role as a Software Engineer in the property sector. In 2014 he co-founded Spotahome, where he lead the Technology team as CTO until 2019. During his term as CTO, his responsibilities included setting the direction for the company’s technological advances and creating digital products that would help realise Spotahome’s mission: reinvent the property sector, making it transparent, instant and exciting.
Since March 2019, Bryan has taken on a newly-created role as Technology Advisor in strategic projects for the company.
