Prior to INSTAAR, Bruce was with the Water Resources Division of the USGS, Project Office
Glaciology. He holds a M.Sc. in geological sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and has authored over 20 papers, primarily on paleoclimate research, glacier hydrology, and isotopic methods.
