Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Brooke has spent several years of her life in Ghana, both as a student and a professional. After graduating from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, Brooke served as the Volunteer Coordinator for an American social enterprise based in Cape Coast, Ghana. She discovered MEST in
early-2012 and eagerly applied for the Communications Fellow position. Brooke will remain as the Communications Fellow until June 2014, at which time she will begin her Masters in Higher Education at Boston College. When she’s not hard at work developing the skills of the amazing EITs at MEST, Brooke loves to read, bake, travel, and stream episodes of the Oprah Winfrey Show. She is passionate about international higher education and development, eating great food from around the world, and supporting the best American football team on earth (go Steelers!).
