Brian brings more than 17 years of industry knowledge from Premera Blue Cross, a leading health plan in the Pacific Northwest, where he most recently served as executive vice president of health care services and strategic development. His leadership and strategic execution was instrumental in establishing Premera as one of the most successful and
innovative health plans in the country. Among his many responsibilities, Ancell led the IT division’s integration and platform consolidation efforts, and oversaw the execution and launch of several mobile and web-based consumer engagement solutions.
Brian also has extensive experience in developing innovative and transformational strategies for the healthcare industry, serving individuals, small groups and national employers. Prior to Premera, Brian served as a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting and as a Senior Associate in the PricewaterhouseCoopers audit and tax practice.
Brian earned a bachelor of business administration degree in Accounting from Boise State University and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
