Bret Sewell is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Synaptics. Prior to joining Synaptics, Mr. Sewell served as Executive Vice President at Coulomb Technologies, and held CEO roles at Venturi Wireless and Kiwi Networks.
As an early member of SnapTrack, Mr. Sewell built the company’s relationships with mobile device
OEMs and wireless service providers, and helped SnapTrack become the leading mobile location software and semiconductor provider.
After SnapTrack’s $1 billion acquisition by Qualcomm, he served as president of Qualcomm’s SnapTrack subsidiary, and Senior Vice President in Qualcomm’s semiconductor division. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sewell built and served as general manager for the Asia Pacific divisions of Octel Communications and Aspect Telecommunications.
Mr. Sewell holds a Master of Business Administration from Wharton, a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Anthropology from Harvard. He lived and worked in Asia for 5 years and speaks Japanese.
