Bob has been involved with fast-growing new companies on almost every level since 1995. He is a co-founder of RPX Group LLC, an advisory firm that works with universities to commercialize research-based technologies. A long-time angel investor, Bob has invested in fourteen startups over 20 years. On an operational level he has served as CFO,
interim CEO, and as a board director of the companies he has helped start or invested in.
Before his involvement with startups Bob worked in leadership positions at a number of companies including BancAmerica Robertson Stephens, Lehman Brothers, Kidder, Peabody & Co., Moody’s Investors Service, and General Electric.
He has been on the adjunct faculty at the University of Illinois, mentored students at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and lectured at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Boston University’s School of Management and is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program.
