Bob brings a competitive spirit to the business and a track record of success in building high performing teams that deliver results.
He is passionate about helping
businesses succeed and sees a huge opportunity for furniture retailers in capturing the online channel. Bob joined Blueport in 2012. Leading Blueport’s Services division, Bob oversees the Catalog, Customer Care and Marketing Strategy teams who work directly with our clients to grow and optimize their businesses.
Bob cultivated his ecommerce expertise while serving as Vice President at GSI Commerce, later acquired by eBay in 2011. At GSI he managed online businesses and interactive marketing for 15 retailers including Ace Hardware, Burberry, Linens ‘n Things, Radio Shack and Zales. He developed strategies to transform clients into multi-channel retailers and leverage their websites as brand hubs, online communities, product catalogs and shopping portals.
Bob previously held Marketing and P&L roles at The Vanguard Group, McNeil Consumer Products, General Electric and American Express.
Bob’s professional persona sits in contrast to his life outside the office. As the father of two daughters, he is rarely in charge on the home front. He is an avid music lover who appreciates discovering new artists and seeing live performances. On weekends, he can be found cycling, working out and watching all types of sporting events. Bob appreciates all four seasons but is especially happy enjoying sand, surf and sun.
