Bimal Das is the Joint President for Distribution business and is responsible for expanding the enterprise partner base, take niche enterprise products to market and grow the cloud distribution portfolio by partnering with leading Cloud Service Providers. Bimal is spearheading the business to become India’s leading value added distributor and plays
a pivotal role in forming new alliances, building new channel and partner eco systems, which is a key part of HCL Infosystem’s growth strategy as new partnerships also garner warranty and break-fix services that enables growth in the services business.
Bimal is a versatile professional who has over 25 years of rich and diverse experience in building and managing businesses. Prior to HCL, Bimal was the Managing Director of PT. Ingram Micro, Indonesia and has also held key positions within the same organization. Bimal's key achievements among many include building strong teams including leadership teams to build businesses, setting up the Indonesian operation of Ingram Micro and making it successful. Bimal has also worked for Tulip India Limited, Hindustan Lever Limited and Usha Rectifier Corporation Limited. Bimal's diverse experience across industries further strengthens HCL’s distribution. Bimal is an MBA from FMS Delhi and holds a Masters degree in Physics from Ravenshaw College, Orissa. Bimal is a sports enthusiast & a travel buff. He also plays club cricket & badminton.
