Benjamin has a long association with Matthew Bourne, having conducted for his companies for nearly 25 years in many hundreds of performances in the UK, Far East and the USA.

Benjamin has conducted orchestras worldwide including the Royal Philharmonic, Philharmonia, and Hallé Orchestras, Dresden Staatskapelle, Orchestra of the Vienna Staatsoper, Dresden Philharmonic, Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Staatskapelle, Tokyo Philharmonic & Scottish Chamber Orchestras. He has worked with orchestras and choirs including the Osaka Symphony, Luxembourg Philharmonic, Ulster Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony, Munich Symphony, Lahti Symphony, Iceland Symphony, Orchestras of RTÉ (Ireland), ERT (Greece) and BBC (UK), Britten Sinfonia, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Thessaloniki State Symphony touring Rachmaninov Symphony No 2, and Czech National Symphony; BBC Singers, City of London Choir, London Philharmonic Choir, Ex Cathedra, Flemish Radio Choir, Semperoper Chorus, Dresden, Magma Choir Istanbul, Resurgam Dublin, Nidaros Domkor Norway, Coro Italiano as well as many other orchestras and choirs in the USA, Australia, Singapore, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, France, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Austria, and the Czech Republic. He has toured to Jamaica, Africa and the Gulf States with the Royal Philharmonic, and worldwide with The Royal Ballet.
