Beat Ulrich is the Chief Executive Officer of the St. Gallen Foundation and St. Gallen Symposium. This annual conference aims at fostering intergenerational and intercultural dialogue between the Leaders of Today and Tomorrow. The symposium was founded in 1969 and its goal is to contribute to the preservation and further development of a social and
liberal economic order. The Leaders of Today consist of 600 decision makers from the economic, political, social, and academic fields. Josef Ackermann, Christine Lagarde, Jack Ma, or Ratan Naval Tata have attended the symposium in recent years. The Leaders of Tomorrow are 200 outstanding and carefully selected global young talents under the age of 30. Ulrich has a 20-year background in running teams with a global focus. Prior to joining the St. Gallen Foundation, he worked as the Head of the regional business location and Delegate of the St.GallenBodenseeArea. Furthermore, he is Member of the Board of a mid-size engineering company and President of the Board of a regional retail bank. Ulrich holds an Executive M.B.L. and a MSc in International Affairs and Governance from the St.Gallen University and has just finished an Executive MBA in digital transformation from the University of Applied Sciences in Chur.
