Professor Avi Efraty is the inventor of CCD technology and continues his role as a thought leader within the business.
Prior to his work on CCD technology, he served for nearly 20 years as a Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Universities of Waterloo, Georgia, Rutgers, and the Weizmann Institute.
Over the course of his academic career,
Professor Efraty supervised 35 students for advanced degrees (Ph.D. & M.Sc.) and published over 150 research papers and reviews. Professor Efraty was founder and CEO of ASSAF Pharmaceutical Industries, a bio-medical start-up company with 35 employees.
He has conducted research on clean energy and desalination for last 15 years and founded Advanced Desalination Technologies, Ltd.
