As Director of Government Services, Ashley Smith has been instrumental in supporting InterDev’s government clients since he joined the firm in 2011. His insight and planning have helped position our municipal clients as leaders in the government sector. Smith and his team have worked diligently to ensure Dunwoody continues to set the bar for
exceptional municipal services for its citizens.
Smith has been working in government IT for the last 10 years, at both the state and local level. Prior to joining InterDev, Smith served as the IT and Communications Manager for the City of Hapeville, Georgia, and as the IT Manager for the Hapeville Wi-Fi Network, part of the Wireless Community Georgia Grant program sponsored by the Georgia Technology Authority.
As a presenter at the Georgia Municipal Association’s Annual conference and the Annual Mayors’ Day conference, Smith has taught classes on best practices in government IT and on using technology to improve government operations.
Smith has a Masters of Public Administration from Georgia Southern University and is currently working towards his Certified Government CIO (CGCIO) accreditation.
