Arthur G. Giftakis is Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Towerstream, Corp. With over two decades of industry experience in Telcommunications and Wireless infrastructure, Mr. Giftakis’ technical vision has established Towerstream as the industry leader for Fixed Wireless Services. Most recently, Mr. Giftakis latest endeavor was
to build the largest Small Cell network in New York City and is overseeing the Small Cell rollout for Towerstream’s fully owned subsidiary, HetNets, Corp.
Arthur is described as a Wireless Visionary and thought leader with entrepreneurial experience. Mr. Giftakis is frequently asked to speak at industry events such as CTIA and TIA to share his knowledge and industry insight on topics including FCC matters, HotSpot 2.0, 4G and the future of 5G.
Formerly Mr. Giftakis was a Director at Sockeye Networks, a BGP optimization company that was acquired by Internap. Prior to joining Sockeye, he was a Director at Navisite, a CMGI company and Digital Broadband Communications. Mr. Giftakis spent 10 years with Bell Atlantic. He has over 20 years of experience with advanced solutions in telecommunications. Mr. Giftakis started his career with New England Telephone.
