Mr. Colvin has served as lead scientist since the Company’s inception. Mr. Colvin is the inventor of the Company’s core technology, and owner of the corresponding U.S. patent.
Before founding Senseonics, Mr. Colvin founded and served as President of Cerex, a private company that provided engineering design services and product development for
the biotechnology market, and as a staff scientist and process development engineer for Life Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Colvin has developed or led the development of more than 30 products for the biotechnology and food industries. He has more than 50 issued and pending patents.
He holds a BS in Biochemistry from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute with graduate studies in Biochemical Engineering at the University of Maryland and the Johns Hopkins University (APL).
