Andy Salamon is an entrepreneur and venture investor with a focus on early stage consumer and health technology. He was formerly the Managing Partner of the Dorm Room Fund's Philadelphia office, where he invested in student-founded start-ups, and prior to that a senior manager with Bridgewater Associates, the world's most successful hedge
fund with $150B in assets under management. Before moving to the private sector, Andy served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Riverines leading counter-insurgency and counter-smuggling teams in Iraq, Central and South America. Andy received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Harvard University and pursued his MBA at the Wharton School before leaving to found his newest venture. He lives with his wife in San Francisco where they can be found in the surf, trails, mountains, vineyards, restaurants and with the people that Northern California offers.
