Andrew “Andy” Manoske is a principal at Amplify Partners focusing on investments in information security, next-generation infrastructure technology, and developer enablement.
Prior to joining Amplify Andy led product management for AlienVault Labs, the research arm of security software developer Alienvault. Andy managed the creation and launch of Open Threat Exchange (OTX) 2.0, the world’s largest open-source threat intelligence platform. Earlier in his career he served as the youngest product manager in corporate history at NetApp, where he managed product security and cryptography and served as a technical liaison to the company’s defense and national intelligence customers. Andy also held technical roles at SAP, Microsoft, and Electronic Arts.
Andy began his career in finance as an associate at GGV Capital. He sourced GGV’s investment in AlienVault, and served as a board observer at PlayHaven (now Upsight) and Bandage. Andy also began writing about high tech and venture capital during his time at GGV, and has been featured in places such as Forbes, Inc, and Gizmodo. He has written extensively on state sponsored hacking and cybercrime, and his work in both areas has been featured in journals such as Global Issues and in textbooks such as Akhgar and Saathof’s Application of Big Data for National Security.
