His main research interest is the development of geoelectrical methods (including self-potential, electrical resistivity, and induced polarization) combining his expertise in petrophysics and the development of new algorithms
Dr. Revil has conducted
extensive research into the application of these methods to a variety of problems including the contamination of aquifers, the determination of the hydraulic transmissivity of the ground, and applications of these geoelectrical properties to active volcanoes. André holds a PhD in Geophysics from Ecole de Physique du Globe de Strasbourg, publishes in the field regularly, and is the Chief Editor of the Journal of Geophysical Research - Solid Earth.
