Anand Marphatia brings over 25 years of energy industry experience to ndnEnergy. He started his career in 1985 working for ARCO (now BP and Lyondell) globally in various Controller functions, in both upstream and downstream. In 1997 Mr. Marphatia joined ENRON in their Associate program with responsibilities in gas and power origination and marketing, deal structuring, mergers and acquisitions, privatization and project development. His background includes positions as such Corporate Controller and Interim CFO at GFI Oil & Gas, a public company, until its acquisition by Salamander Energy PLC in 2008. Following the acquisition, Mr. Marphatia joined the previous management of GFI in forming Greenfields Petroleum Corp and operated as their Country Manager and General Manager for their PSC in South Sumatra, Indonesia until its sale to Asia Pacific Exploration Corp. Currently, Mr. Marphatia provides energy industry advisory services as an independent consultant in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Marphatia has a Masters in Professional Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, TX. He has a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
