Amy Mellen serves as the Creative Director for Calvin Klein Home. In this position, she is responsible for the design of all products offered under the Calvin Klein Home brand, including bedding, bath, dinnerware, tabletop, table linens, giftware, rugs, down, and furniture.
Additionally,Mellen designs a line of upholstery fabrics which are
exclusively available to the interior design trade, as well as many exclusive, special items spanning a variety of categories for the Calvin Klein Collection flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City.
Mellen captures her inspiration from travel, nature, and art; and seasonally blends these ideas with the aesthetic of the Calvin Klein lifestyle brand. Together with her design team, she maintains a very hands-on approach to creating each piece and often paints, sews, and draws many of the original prints and designs.
Mellen joined Calvin Klein, Inc. in September 1999 as a Senior Designer. She was promoted to the role of Design Director in 2006 and was elevated to her most recent position in 2009. Born in New Jersey and raised in Ohio, Ms. Mellen studied surface pattern design at Syracuse University.
