Amanda was appointed a Non-Executive Director to the Company on 1 January 2014 and appointed Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer on 5 June 2014.Amanda is a highly credentialed director who brings more than 25 years of senior operational experience to Lynas, including management of both publicly listed and private companies as Chief
Executive Officer of Commander Communications, Executive Chairman of Orion Telecommunications and Chief Executive Officer of AOL7.
Prior to that, Amanda was Managing Director of Marketing at Telstra and held various business management roles at ICI Australia (now Orica and Incitec Pivot). Amanda's early experience was in consumer goods with Nestle.Amanda is currently a non-executive Director of ING Direct and McPherson's Ltd, is on the Advisory Board of CMOS research group at UTS and is a member of Chief Executive Women and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Queensland and a postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
