Amanda is a future entreprenuer with an interest in sustainable practices adoptable by businesses.
Her eight years of work experience have been grounded in the retail environment. Customer service, communication and product knowledge are cornerstones in her professional skillset. She believes in providing her customers and clients with open and
honest information about the product or service they are inquiring after, while maintaining a positive and comfortable environment where they can make their purchasing decisions without the pressures of pushy sales tactics.
She hopes to build upon her education by pursuing an additional degree in either Non-Profit Management or Community Outreach. She believes deeply in the importance of the business world’s impact on both the surrounding community as well as the environment. Some of the future job opportunities Amanda has considered have involved fundraising, event planning, and corporate social responsibility programs. She would love to be hired on by an employer with real aspirations to effect change and the capital to invest in their chosen cause.
In her free time Amanda enjoys learning as much as she can about many topics. Currently the growing global concern of Food Security in an urban setting has been of particular interest.
She is currently working on a business proposal for an organic waste management facility that will adopt a combination of vermiculture and bokashi composting as a method to remediate food waste. The combination of technologies will eliminate pollutants and process at a fraction of the time.
