Almis Udrys is San Diego Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer’s Deputy Chief of Staff, in charge of implementing the Mayor’s agenda, which includes an ambitious Climate Action Plan. Almis also built a new Performance & Analytics Department that made San Diego a nationally recognized leader in municipal innovation. Almis has served as a senior budget and
policy advisor in the California Legislature, a performance auditor, and an appointed trustee to a public retirement system. With 17 years of public service, Almis often speaks about his experiences, including a TEDx talk and how to attract technologists to work in government. Almis holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Pepperdine University and a B.A. in International Business from Hillsdale College.
