Al Castle has more than 15 years of experience designing and building technology infrastructures for telecommunication, e-commerce and news industries. Al’s ability to envision what's next on the horizon helps him establish companies as leaders in their industries.
Before joining Evocalize, Al was the chief technology officer of Cranberry
y Venture Partners, a startup incubator. Before that, he was PRWeb's chief information officer, leading the innovative team that revolutionized the online news industry. His team worked with major traditional newswires, such as PRNewswire, and created the initial version of BusinessWire’s Enhanced Online News platform before PRWeb sold to Vocus Inc., a publicly traded communications software company.
Al also led and managed the R&D and international network infrastructure teams at Stargate Group and its telecommunications subsidiaries. He has worked closely with many Fortune 500 companies on national, multimillion-dollar projects.
Self-taught in many technology disciplines and languages, Al is a member of the Bellingham Linux Users Group and Seattle Tech Startups, as well as a previous speaker for LinuxFest Northwest and an open-source software contributor.
