Ajit is a full outdoors person and eats and breathes cricket! He was a part of the Mumbai Ranjhi cricket team’s probables in the year 2001-02. In his earlier role with SERCO (erstwhile Intelenet) he led the Intelenet Cricket team to 7 back to back Times Shield championship titles which went on to become the state record for the 80 year old Times
Shield Competition.
He has been an official umpire for the Mumbai cricket Association since 2008 till date, having officiated in more than 260 matches in various club levels and Times shield tournaments. He has also been included in BCCI umpires panel for domestic matches after passing the BCCI level One examination in August ‘2011.
He loves watching all sports and is also a huge fan of the Arsenal football team. In his free time, Ajit loves to listen to music and also to swim with his kids.
