Adel Moussa, Ph.D., has served as vice president, CMC at Idenix Pharmaceuticals since March 2008 and executive director of chemical development since March 2007.
Dr. Moussa joined Idenix in March 2002 as director of process research and development and became senior director in February 2005. Before joining Idenix, Dr. Moussa was employed by
Johnson Matthey from 1993 to 2002 as associate director of chemistry and Covalent Associates from 1991 to 1993 as senior scientist.
Before working in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Moussa was assistant professor at the University of Alexandria, Egypt.
Dr. Moussa holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Alexandria, Egypt.
