Adam Sacharowitz is the co-founder, with Chad Etkind, of Zaiq, an AI engineering studio in Johannesburg, South Africa. Zaiq's promise is simple: bring the problem, we engineer the fix. Adam aims the sharpest AI on earth at a real business problem and ships the working software in a day, working across the entire modern AI stack, from large
language models and generative AI to voice, image, video and automation, with no hand-offs.
Adam is an Information Engineering student at the University of the Witwatersrand and completed his IEB matric at King David Schools with an 86% aggregate and 5 distinctions. He has completed a six-week AI and software engineering internship at Global Micro Solutions, a Microsoft Solutions Partner working across Azure, Microsoft 365 and agentic AI.
At Zaiq he has shipped a range of production AI systems: an AI-Search Growth System that tracks and engineers a business's ranking across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity; an AI Visibility Audit; a Campaign Engine validated on 28 of South Africa's top restaurants; a multi-model AI Workstation fusing five frontier models with private local ones; Explorable AI Worlds rendered in real-time WebGL; and a Video Pipeline that ships cited, captioned short-form episodes from a single command, with 27 episodes completed. See the work at zaiq.co.za/work.
His core skills span Python, generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Microsoft Azure and automation. Different problems, same move.
