Abbie Mathew has a BSEE from the National Institute of Technology, India, and an MBA from Syracuse University. He was the Product Line Manager for Unitrode’s Silicon Controlled Rectifier product line and the Product Marketing Manager for the power MOSFET product line.
He joined Alpha Industries as the International Sales Manager and later
became the Sales Manager of Alpha’s Millimeter Wave Division. He then joined Millitech as the Sales Manager and was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing. In 2001, Millitech became Telaxis to focus on the wireless broadband access market.
At Telaxis, he was the Director for Sales, Marketing and Applications Engineering. Telaxis was acquired by Proxim in 2003. Abbie joined Dev Gupta in April 2003. He is the Vice Chair of IEEE 802.15.3c.
