Volcan Mountain Foundation preserves Volcan Mountain in its natural state and protects connected wildlands and watersheds. The organization acquires and manages conservation lands, maintains trails, and supports wildlife and habitat research. It operates the Volcan Mountain Nature Center, which serves as a base for environmental education and
resource management activities. The foundation offers field trips and nature classes for grades 1–12, focusing on ecology, watersheds, wildlife, and wilderness skills. It runs citizen science programs such as bird monitoring and wildlife imaging, engaging volunteers and students in data collection. The foundation also organizes stewardship events, restoration days, and public nature programs to foster long-term care of the mountain’s ecosystems.
