Vlaskracht is a citizen energy cooperative that focuses on financing and operating local renewable energy projects. The cooperative issues shares to individuals, companies and organizations, enabling them to co-own solar and wind power installations and share in the financial returns. Vlaskracht develops, builds and manages solar power systems on
public and community rooftops and co-invests in onshore and offshore wind projects through partnerships with other cooperatives. It also supports electric car sharing by giving co-owners access to electric vehicles operated on green power. In addition, Vlaskracht offers paid information sessions and EnergyCafés that explain the energy transition and provide practical guidance on using electricity efficiently. Through these activities, Vlaskracht combines community investment with concrete renewable energy production and related services.
