Upd8All provides an anonymous messaging app that enables one-way notification channels between senders and receivers without exchanging phone numbers, emails, or other personal information. The app uses QR codes to link devices so that receivers can subscribe to a sender’s channel and get short update messages. All messages are end-to-end
encrypted, as well as encrypted at rest and in transit, and only the latest update per channel is retained. Upd8All supports use cases such as order-ready alerts in restaurants, group coordination on school trips, service status updates from garages, and flight arrival notifications. The service is free to download and use, and is funded through in-app advertising. The app is designed for situations where concise, secure, and anonymous updates are needed rather than ongoing chat conversations.
