The Forgiveness Project is a charity that uses personal stories to explore the benefits and complexities of forgiveness, justice, and reconciliation. The organisation curates narrative collections, podcasts, audio series and conversations that examine how people respond to harm, violence and loss. It delivers the RESTORE prison programme, working
with men, women and prison officers to support reflection, accountability and desistance from crime. The Forgiveness Project provides education resources for schools, including Philosophy for Children and Stories of Forgiveness lesson plans. It also offers online workshops, training on shame-informed practice, and tools such as The Forgiveness Toolbox and the Community Tool Box on forgiveness and reconciliation. Through initiatives like The Forgiveness Café and public events, it creates spaces for guided dialogue about forgiveness in everyday and traumatic contexts.
