The Defensive Line provides suicide prevention education and mental health advocacy programs focused on young people of color. The organization develops and delivers trainings for teachers, parents, coaches, and other leaders to recognize warning signs, hold difficult conversations, and connect youth in crisis to help. Its offerings include suicide
prevention workshops, parent education sessions, keynotes, panels, and other tailored talks that center the experiences of people of color. The Defensive Line emphasizes storytelling and lived experience to reduce stigma and change how communities communicate about mental health. It partners with schools, districts, and community organizations to integrate its programs into existing mental health and crisis response structures.
