The Azadi Project designs and implements programs that provide leadership skills and psychosocial support to marginalized refugee and migrant women and youth. It runs mental healthcare and psychosocial support initiatives, including group and individual sessions delivered through a training-of-trainers model. The organization conducts leadership
cohorts such as the Azadi Leadership Program, which focus on confidence building, youth leadership, and climate resilience. It also offers workshops in digital and multimedia storytelling, community radio, and other livelihood-oriented skills for displaced communities. Its programs address issues such as gender equality, gender-based violence prevention, mental well-being, and awareness of child marriage. The Azadi Project operates across the Global South through in-person and virtual programs that support participants’ wellbeing, agency, and community engagement.
