Thabo Mbeki Foundation promotes Africa’s renaissance through programmes that combine ideas, public education, and practical initiatives. The foundation develops and disseminates research and reports on African governance, peace, democracy, and development. It convenes lectures, policy dialogues, and annual flagship events such as Africa Day and
peace and security forums to encourage reflection and debate. Through its flagship programmes, including work with the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs, the South African Democracy Education Trust, and the Thabo Mbeki Presidential Centre, it supports leadership development and institutional memory. The foundation also runs projects focused on promoting peace, education, and agriculture, and issues public statements on significant African political developments.
