Texas Conservation Alliance protects wildlife and natural habitats through advocacy, education, and on-the-ground conservation programs. The organization conducts policy advocacy on issues such as reservoirs, forest management, native prairie restoration, municipal water recycling, oyster recovery, and wildlife protection. It operates the Texas
Conservation Action Team, which runs native plant propagation and sales, community volunteer events, and Lights Out for Wildlife initiatives. Texas Conservation Alliance collaborates with schools and partners to deliver Lights Out education modules and supports wildlife gardening through Certified Wildlife Habitat recognition with the National Wildlife Federation. It coordinates projects that restore habitats, prevent harmful infrastructure, and promote river and watershed protection. The organization also supports a network of member groups, offers conservation advocacy resources, and engages citizens through internships, volunteer opportunities, and events.
