Tetem is a platform for digital culture that presents exhibitions of national and international makers working with interactive installations, video art and other digital media. Tetem operates labs such as the MaakMeeLab and FabLab where children, young people and adults experiment with 3D printing, laser cutting, robotics, virtual reality and
other maker technologies. The organization develops education programs for schools and libraries focused on digital culture, coding, film, design and maker skills. It coordinates regional learning ecosystems and Twentse Maakplaatsen so residents can work with digital fabrication in their own communities. Tetem also produces and co-produces public programs and festivals, including Maker Festival Twente and Cinekid in Overijssel, combining workshops, labs and media experiences for young audiences. Through research and debate events it explores social and ethical questions around technology and digital culture.
