Tensei develops bio-based technical materials that use crop residues, perennial grasses and other plant fibres as alternatives to wood and conventional plastics. The company designs compound materials under its Smart Plant Fibre Blending approach, including food-contact approved papers, printed laminate papers and cards, and décor papers for
interior and construction applications. Tensei supplies laminate paper and board for packaging, bags, envelopes, labels and cartons, as well as bespoke fibre substrates for wet and thermoformed moulded products and biocomposites. It also produces bio-based injection moulding pellets that combine bio-waste with recycled polypropylene for use in various moulded items. Tensei serves brands, manufacturers and other industrial customers seeking fibre-based materials that can be recycled within existing paper and packaging streams.
