Stb-tester provides a software and hardware platform for automated user interface testing of set-top boxes, smart TVs, OTT devices, and similar connected platforms. The Stb-tester Nodes capture HDMI video and control devices using mechanisms such as infrared, HDMI-CEC, ADB, and USB HID, while the Stb-tester Portal offers a browser-based interface
for live control, remote access, test execution, and results analysis. Tests are written in Python against Stb-tester APIs and run directly on the Nodes, supporting image processing, OCR, motion detection, audio analysis, and integrations with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, Prometheus, and Grafana. The company also offers automated testing services and consultancy for test development and execution across the software development lifecycle. Customers use the platform for end-to-end, black-box testing, continuous integration, performance measurements, and remote test-farm operation.
