Starick provides domestic and family violence support services for women and children. The organisation offers safe accommodation through refuges, counselling for women and children, and outreach support in the community. Starick operates domestic violence advocacy in police stations, delivering safety planning, case management, court support and
referrals to legal and other services. It runs programs such as Safe at Home, transitional housing and youth-focused initiatives for children and young people who have experienced family and domestic violence. Starick also develops resources and toolkits to support participation and engagement of children in service planning and decision making. Revenue from its op shop and donations is used to fund non-core services such as art therapy, self-defence training, yoga for trauma and therapeutic writing programs.
