Company Performance Metrics
Southeastern Oakland County Water Authority operates a regional water system that supplies treated drinking water to member municipalities in southeastern Oakland County. The authority manages pump stations, storage reservoirs, elevated tanks, and transmission mains to maintain adequate volume, pressure, and potable water quality for residential,
commercial, and public safety uses. It purchases water from Detroit’s system and distributes it through its own infrastructure, including meter stations and vaults. SOCWA oversees planning, operations, and financial management, with decisions made by a board of trustees representing each member community. The authority also provides public information about water quality, usage, and conservation. In addition, SOCWA runs community-oriented programs and resources on healthy lawns and gardens, composting, and watershed protection to support environmentally responsible landscape practices.
